    1. Why is significant to know about four components of communicative competence?

Foreign language learning started to be viewed not just as a potentially predictable developmental process but also as the creation of meaning through interactive negotiation among learners. Therefore, Communicative competence became a household word in SLA, and still stands as an appropriate term to capture current trends in teaching and research.

    1. How does this information help an english teacher?

There are four different components such as grammatical competence, discourse

competence, sociolinguistic competence and strategic competence.

English teacher can be just focus on one or two Communicative components.

If english teacher know four different components that make up the construct of

communicative competence and why this is important, They can make better

materials without overspecializing in just one component.

    2. Can this information be applied to real classrooms?

Yes, we can. In korea, we used to focus on grammatical competence. When we make lesson plans, we can add four components.

    3. If so, what are some examples of how this information can be applied in the classroom?

Especially, we can use discourse competence and strategic competence in listening

    lecture.

By using SPEAKING frame work before and after listening, we can set the verbal

and nonverbal communication strategies that one use to compensate for imperfect

knowledge of rules. Also, To connect sentences and form a meaningful whole out

of a series of utterances, we can make right questions. It can help students

understand and give them the reason to listen.
